The list of participants (athletes and eligible spectators) accredited for the European Rogaining Championships will be published on 10 August on the ERC website.
The list of accredited persons will comprise all athletes and eligible spectators who have entered for the event and paid the athlete’s fee or the supporter’s fee by 9 August 2020.
The list of accredited persons is important for those arriving in Latvia by crossing the external border of the European Union, namely, the border with Russian Federation and Belarus.
An accreditation certificate will be e-mailed to all non-Latvian athletes to the e-mail address indicated by the team, and the list will be made available to the State Border Guard of Latvia.
The procedure when arriving at the Event Centre
We have a very good piece of news for athletes and/or official representatives from non-EU countries, and also for countries on the „yellow” or „red” list compiled depending on the COVID-19 spread in the given country. Yesterday the government of Latvia passed a decision with regard to accredited athletes entered for international competitions, including the European Rogaining Championships: the requirement to stay 14 days in self-isolation after arrival is waived, provided that:
- An athlete, when crossing the Latvian border, should present an evidence of negative COVID-19 test. The test should be not older than 72 hours,
- Within 24 hours after entering Latvia, the athlete should take another COVID-19 test, at his/her own expense, and it has to be negative,
- It is not allowed to use public transport before the Latvian test result is known.
Detailed information about entering Latvia and participation at the 16th European Rogaining Championships on 22-23 August will be posted on the ERC2020 website under Competition info.
European Rogaining Championships, to be held on 22-23 August 2020 in Latvia, is going to happen!
Despite the present situation that is affected by the aftermath of the pandemics, we are committed to organize the race. The map is ready, the course setter has finalized the location of controls, the event centre is ready to host the competitors, the organisers and volunteers are proceeding with preparations in order to run the event in a manner that is equally safe to the participants and organisers.
Certainly, everyone will be obliged to comply with additional requirements, such as keeping distance, using disinfectants and other. Nevertheless, together we shall succeed in making this a truly sportive and long since anticipated experience. As to any additional rules or changes in the programme related to the safety of the race, we shall inform you in further Bulletins and Pre-start Information.
We are aware and fully understand that it is not an easy decision about taking part in the European Rogaining Championships – both due to the disease itself that is still raging worldwide and its consequences in the form of traveling and mobility restrictions as well asdecrees of national governments.
In any case, we are expecting you!
See you on 22-23 August in Tukums, Latvia!
